About Us

Naheola Credit Union was founded in June 1959 by employees of Marathon Southern Paper Mill in Naheola, Alabama. As the mill changed names, so did the Credit Union. The Credit Union adopted the name of Naheola Mill Credit Union in the early 2000s since the paper mill was changing names and ownership so often, and changed its name to Naheola Credit Union in 2008 following approval for a community charter. Naheola currently serves members who live, work, or worship in Choctaw, Marengo, Washington, Clarke, Sumter, Hale, Perry, Greene, Mobile, Escambia, and Baldwin counties.

We're a not-for-profit financial cooperative, looking out for our members' financial well-being and pride ourselves in providing products and services to help make our members’ banking experience simple. Our commitment to our members is to provide quality services that make banking easy and stress-free!

Being member-owned also means we pass all the savings along to you, not stockholders, in the form of competitive rates, higher returns, and lower fees. At Naheola, you're more than a number — you're family!
